Who we are?

Nature India Group is an internationally known nature conservation platform as the group has been working in the relevant, since 1989. NIG has earned its popularity during 2002-2011. The group started production of an ever longest documentary series, named ‘Wild Bengal’, by covering all the protected forests and wildlife of West Bengal and has produced 26 documentary films on forest and wildlife during the period! After that, the “Nature Indian'' e-journal was launched in 2011 and added by a fort-nightly printed Newspaper in the year 2013. More than 600 articles, theme papers, observation reports on forest and wildlife have been published by Nature Indian and the group has been rewarded from several National and International authorities. A number of Awareness camps, Conferences, Seminars and Field Training programs have also been organized by the Group, along with some prominent implementation programs, like SAPNE (Students Awareness Program on Nature and Environment), project NBSAB (National Biodiversity: strategy and action Plan), project NASA (Notional Area of Scientific Aforestation), project SEED (Support Enhancement for Eco-Development), ETIS (Eco-Tourism Initiative for the Student), SFWS (Social Support Scheme for the Fisherwomen of Sundarbans) etc.

After a long working experience in the field of Indian forest and wildlife, finally, the Nature Indian Institute of Wildlife Photography and Journalism has been introduced in the year 2020. The institute is aimed to produce new gen Wildlife Photographers, Wildlife Filmmakers; Wildlife Journalists and Public speakers to strengthen the nature and wildlife conservation movement in India. Within a very short span of time, Nature Indian Institute becomes the pioneer in the relevant field, as perhaps no such institute of this magnitude has yet been launched in India. The institute welcomes the new gen wild-lifers like you, who are intended to turn their passion to a noble profession.

About RBRF

In the year 2014, the Group has merged with the national renowned organization, named RBRF (Rural Bengal Biospheric Research Foundation -www.rbrf.in) who are working on the rural women empowerment at the forest-side villages, especially at Indian Sundarbans. RBRF is a Kolkata based government registered society under WBSRA-1961, Government of West Bengal and also registered with NITI Aayog, Government of India. The organization received its non-profit status under the Income Tax Act 12AA and 80G. RBRF is much focused on environment friendly sustainable livelihood generation for the rural women, where the optimum awareness regarding Forest and Biodiversity Conservation can only be achieved. RBRF primarily focuses on their need-base and encourages them towards self-reliability and dependence whilst protecting the environment; which is and must be, the proper definition of a sustainable development. Now the RBRF-NATURE INDIAN becomes a collective force to battle against the poverty and destruction of Nature.
